I kicked off the 08 road race schedule with Marty race on saturday. I decided to race the 35+ 1-2 group and stay out of the chaos of the 1/2's. We were a 5 lap category and only started with 12 guys. I guess each lap we lost a a guy or two at various places on the course...to the eventual 5 man lead group. We held this for about a lap and a half. There was 2 Loon State, 2 Silver and 1 GSCA. The other Silver guy was Chad Christenson. A new addition to the group. This worked out well. I had never met him before. I wanted to chat with him before the final climb to work out a tactic...but that didnt happen and so anything was to be expected in the final 1k or so. He led out, then LSC, then me, then CULLEN(BLOG), and then GSCA. Chad went hard, but probably couldnt have led the whole way, and we were gaining on him....I decided to hammer...but CULLEN hammered a bit harder and went around both of us. Great race. Great group of guys. Next up is OPUS, Maybe Black DOG, then BUCK on TH.

I bumped into MEAN DAWG, H-WOOD and Kristy at Rainbow last night. Andy was getting detergent, H-wood was getting cookies, and I was getting eggs. Bizarre.
