CABLE UN-CLASSIC

The Cable Classic has come and gone...

I had the wrong bike. A 26" hardtail with no disc brakes and high tire pressure was a disaster. I was too lazy to get off and let out some air. But it wouldn't have helped. A bumpy course left me working too hard and not getting much out of it. So, about 15 minutes into it, I knew this wasn't going to be the race I could let er go. I backed off, said my farewell to Hwood and drifted back into a dark repressive hole...

I relaxed on the single track and let people go by, and hammer on the flats and get a good workout. Ended up 28th.

Its a great race though. Need a better bike. Either a 29er or a dual. (with disc brakes) of course.

I rode down to Bloomington and over to Savage/Prior Lake yesterday. Sunny and a little windy.

Anyhow, OPUS tomorrow, ride to work tues/wed/th...and head up to Duluth on Friday-Monday.
